The past may continue to resonate after the event itself has ended, but resonance is not the same as permanence.
This session illustrates that distinction through the image of a large gong.
The strike represents the original event: loud, immediate and real.
Yet as its vibration travels towards the outer edge, it steadily loses strength.
The listener can finally reach out and still the metal, ending a sound that no longer needs to continue.
A second image follows—a pebble striking calm water and creating ripples that naturally become smaller until the surface is still again.
Memory remains, but its emotional force is allowed to fade.
Created to release emotional attachment to the past and restore a calmer sense of forward movement, this letting-go hypnosis session gives the mind and body room to settle.
Change is already taking place constantly within the body, the mind and the surrounding world.
The recording uses that fact to challenge the idea that an old response must remain fixed simply because it was once necessary or understandable.
Earlier thoughts, habits and emotions are treated as forms of energy that may have served a purpose but have since become redundant.
They can remain part of memory without continuing to dictate present behaviour.
As relaxation deepens, the listener is encouraged to separate the original impact of an event from the diminishing echoes that followed it.
Perspective becomes clearer as emotional attachment begins to loosen.
There is very little to do beyond listening and allowing the session to work at its own pace.
People often return to this track when a past event, relationship or former version of themselves continues to exert more influence over the present than it deserves.
